Caramel Peanut Brittle from Werthers® Recipe

  • 1 (5.5 ounce) package Werther's Original Hard Candies, unwrapped
  • 5 pieces Werther's Original Caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Melt caramels and hard candies with butter and water in a medium saucepan over low heat until smooth, stirring often. Add the peanuts and cook 2 minutes. Stir in the baking soda and vanilla. Immediately spread out thinly onto a cookie sheet to cool completely. Break into pieces to serve.
