Turkey and Black Bean Chili Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans, undrained
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • salt to taste
  1. Heat oil in a large heavy pot over medium heat. Stir in onions and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
  2. Add garlic, chili powder and Italian seasoning. Stir in turkey, cooking until meat is brown. Add black beans, tomatoes and red wine vinegar. Season with salt to taste.
  3. Bring chili to boil, reduce heat and simmer partially covered to blend flavors, about 25 minutes. Serve.
