Tomato spirals Recipe

  • 125g/4½oz ready-made puff pastry
  • 4 tsp tomato puree
  • 30g/1oz cheddar, grated
  • 4 fresh basil leaves, shredded
  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. Roll the dough out on a floured worked surface to a 3mm/⠛in thickness.
  3. Spread the tomato puree all ove the pastry. Sprinkle over the cheddar and basil.
  4. Roll the pastry up tightly, then cut it into 12 slices. Place the slices, cut-side up onto the baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden-brown.
