Thousand Island Sauce Recipe

  • ½ cup home-made or commercial mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup chile sauce
  • 1 shallot or green onion (white part only) finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped red or green bell pepper
  • Salt and white pepper
  1. In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, chile sauce, shallot or onion, and red or green bell pepper. Season with salt and white pepper to taste.
  2. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 3 days.
