Thai beef patties Recipe
- 175g/6oz rump steak, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove
- ¼ tsp dried chilli flakes
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
- ½ free-range egg, lightly beaten
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 100g/3½ oz green beans, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 1 tsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- fresh coriander to garnish
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds, to garnish
- Place the steak, garlic, chilli, sesame oil, coriander and egg into a food processor. Blend to combine the ingredients.Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Transfer into a bowl and stir through the green beans. Lightly flour your hands and form the meat mixture into four patties.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over a medium-high heat. Place the beef patties into the frying pan and fry for about three minutes on each side, until golden and cooked through.
- To serve, place the patties on a bed of fresh coriander leaves and sprinkle over the toasted sesame seeds.
