Steak and Vegetable Kabobs Recipe

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, cut in half
  • 1 large red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 large zucchini, cut into 1-inch pieces
  1. Place the meat in a medium bowl. Blend the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, sugar, and oil. Pour the marinade over the meat and refrigerate covered for 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
  2. Drain the meat, saving the marinade in a saucepan. Boil the marinade for 2 minutes; set aside for basting.
  3. Alternate pieces of meat, mushrooms, pepper, and zucchini on skewers. Grill kabobs 3-4 inches from hot coals for 4-5 minutes on each side, basting occasionally.
