Soybeans With Sesame And Scallions Recipe

  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen shelled green soybeans
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons minced green onions
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  1. In a medium saucepan over high heat, bring the soybeans, soy sauce, and water to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 12 minutes, or until tender. If any liquid remains, cook, stirring occasionally, over medium-high heat until the liquid has evaporated.
  2. Remove from the heat. Stir in the oil, hot-pepper sauce (if using), scallions, and black pepper.
