Sizzling Shrimp Recipe
- 1½ lbs (750 g) raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined, patted dry
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- ¼ tsp (1 ml) salt
- ¼ tsp (1 ml) hot pepper flakes
- ½ cup (125 ml) olive oil
- 9-inch (22.5 cm) ovenproof earthenware dish or glass pie plate
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C)
- Spread out shrimp in baking dish; tuck slices of garlic in amongst shrimp. Sprinkle with salt and hot pepper flakes. Drizzle oil evenly over shrimp.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once or twice, until shrimp are pink and opaque and oil is bubbling. Serve at once.
