Sizzling Shrimp Recipe

  • 1½ lbs (750 g) raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined, patted dry
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • ¼ tsp (1 ml) salt
  • ¼ tsp (1 ml) hot pepper flakes
  • ½ cup (125 ml) olive oil
  • 9-inch (22.5 cm) ovenproof earthenware dish or glass pie plate
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C)
  2. Spread out shrimp in baking dish; tuck slices of garlic in amongst shrimp. Sprinkle with salt and hot pepper flakes. Drizzle oil evenly over shrimp.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring once or twice, until shrimp are pink and opaque and oil is bubbling. Serve at once.
