Sesame steak with spicy green beans Recipe

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 100g/3½oz green beans, sliced
  • ½ red pepper, chopped
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • ¼ tsp chilli flakes
  • 55g/2oz rump steak, trimmed and cut into 5 thin strips
  • 2 tbsp clear honey
  • dash olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  1. For the spicy green beans, heat the oil in a frying pan, add the beans, pepper and onion and fry for a few minutes until softened.
  2. Add the garlic and chilli flakes and fry for a further 3-4 minutes.
  3. For the sesame steak, thread each steak strip onto a cocktail stick and drizzle over the honey.
  4. Heat a little oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the steak over a high heat for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked through and golden-brown.
  5. To serve, sprinkle the steak with sesame seeds and place onto a serving plate with the spicy green beans.
