Sesame pan-roasted hake Recipe

  • ½ tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 25g/1oz sesame seeds
  • 100g/3½oz hake (chopped into five pieces)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
  2. Mix the chilli and sesame in a bowl and toss the hake in the mixture until coated.
  3. Heat the oil a frying pan and fry the hake for two minutes on each side.
  4. Place in the oven and cook for five minutes, or until cooked through, then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Serve in a warm bowl.
