- 6 center-cut pork chops (about 1-1/2 inch thick, bone in or boneless)
- 2 tablespoons Morton® Hot Salt™
- Honey Barbecue Sauce:
- 1/4 cup dark beer
- 2 teaspoons Morton® Hot Salt™
- 1 cup gourmet style barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Season the pork chops with Morton(R) Hot Salt(TM), pressing the spices into the meat.
- In a saucepot combine the beer, Morton(R) Hot Salt(TM), barbecue sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, thyme and garlic. Bring mixture slowly to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat grill to medium-high.
- Grill pork chops for 8 to 10 minutes per side until just cooked through, about 150 degrees F. Baste with Honey Barbecue Sauce during the last quarter of grilling time.
- Remove from grill and serve with extra Honey Barbecue Sauce and grilled vegetables.
