Quinoa and Whole Wheat Waffles Recipe

  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup quinoa flour
  • 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup milk, or as needed
  1. Combine whole wheat flour, quinoa flour, turbinado sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. Whisk in egg and olive oil. Whisk in milk gradually until batter is a runny consistency.
  2. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Ladle 1/2 cup batter into the preheated iron; close and cook until golden, about 3 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.
