- 1 (16 ounce) package Archer Farms™ linguine pasta
- 6 slices Archer Farms™ hickory-smoked premium bacon, finely chopped
- 1 (8 ounce) package sliced baby portabella mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)
- 1 (25.5 ounce) jar Archer Farms™ tomato basil pasta sauce
- Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
- Meanwhile, cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp, stirring occasionally. Add mushrooms and cook 2 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Stir in wine and cook, stirring constantly, until wine evaporates. Remove bacon and mushrooms from pan and reserve.
- Cook beef in same skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in reserved bacon mixture, cream and pasta sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer until hot.
- Top hot cooked pasta with sauce. Add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if you like.
