Pickled Red Cabbage Recipe

  • 6 cups julienned red cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar, regular or white wine
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • Dash of pepper
  1. Fill large pot with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Place cabbage in boiling water and return water to boil. Blanch the cabbage for up to 1 minute. Drain cabbage very well.
  3. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients well. Pour over the cabbage and toss. Let stand until cool.
