Pepper-Beef Stir-Fry Recipe

Pepper-Beef Stir-Fry Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 pound fat-trimmed beef sirloin, rinsed
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow bell pepper
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup Safeway Beef Broth
  • Salt
  1. In a bowl, combine garlic, cayenne, coriander, and turmeric.
  2. Rinse meat, pat dry, and cut into 1/4-inch-thick bite-size pieces. Add to bowl and mix well.
  3. Pour oil into a 10- to 12-inch nonstick frying pan or a 14-inch wok over high heat. When hot, add beef mixture, bell peppers, and onion. Stir until meat is no longer pink on surface, about 4 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, blend cornstarch and broth until smooth. Add to pan and stir until boiling. Pour stir-fry into a serving bowl. Add salt to taste.
