Orange Panna Cotta Recipe

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package unflavored gelatin
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur (see note)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Scented geranium or mint leaves (optional)
  1. In a medium saucepan stir together the sugar and gelatin. Add LACTAID(R) Whole Milk. Heat and stir until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in orange liqueur or extract and vanilla. Pour into 6 individual ramekins or molds that hold at least 4 ounces. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours or until set.
  2. To serve, unmold, if desired. To unmold, immerse bottom half of ramekin or mold in hot water for 15 to 20 seconds. Run a clean small knife around edge to loosen. Invert onto dessert plate. Garnish with scented geranium or mint leaves, if desired.
