One Pot Italian Sausage and Peppers Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups sliced green bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (5.6 ounce) package Knorr® Rice Sides™ – Chicken
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Italian parsley, for garnish
  1. In large Dutch oven heat olive oil and minced garlic on medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced bell peppers and cook until they begin to soften.
  3. Add Italian sausage to the pot and cook through.
  4. Once cooked through, transfer sausage and peppers to a bowl (drain oil, if preferred).
  5. Return Dutch oven to stove and bring 2 cups water and package of Knorr(R) Rice Sides(TM) – Chicken to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 7 minutes.
  6. Once rice is finished, add can of Italian-style diced tomatoes and the sausage and peppers.
  7. Cook until heated through; serve topped with Parmesan-Romano grated cheese and Italian flat-leaf parsley. Enjoy!
