New York Strip with Cilantro Chile Lime Rub Recipe

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons chipotle chile powder or chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 pound Stockman & Dakota® Angus New York Strip Steaks
  1. In small bowl, combine cilantro, oil, lime juice, garlic, chile powder, cumin and salt. Rub over steaks.
  2. Prepare grill to medium heat. Place steaks on grill.
  3. Grill, turning once, 7-15 minutes (depending on thickness) or until desired doneness is reached (145 degrees F for medium-rare; 160 degrees F for medium). Remove from grill and season with salt to taste.
