Maple-Seasoned Turkey Brine Recipe

  • 1/2 gallon water
  • 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
  • 1 cup coarse sea salt
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup frozen lovage leaves
  • 2 tablespoons dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon ground thyme
  • 1 tablespoon celery salt
  1. Combine water, maple syrup, salt, brown sugar, lovage, sage, thyme, and celery salt in a large stockpot and bring to a boil; cook until sugar and salt are dissolved, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove pot from heat and cool brine completely.
