Lamb Burgers with Cumin and Mint Recipe

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh mint
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 3 large garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  1. Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the lamb, mint, oregano, garlic, cumin, allspice, salt and pepper. Divide meat and shape into 4 patties.
  3. Place patties on grill. Cover and cook turning once, until burgers are well seared, or temperature reads 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) about 8 minutes for medium-well.
