- 2 cups butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- confectioners' sugar
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar; add flour, vanilla, pecans and salt. Mix well. Roll dough into 1-in. balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 325 degrees F for 17-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool cookies slightly before rolling them in confectioners' sugar.
