Italian-style trifle Recipe

  • ½ miniature bottle of whisky
  • 100ml/3½oz double cream, whipped
  • 100g/3½oz mascarpone
  • 50g/1½oz dark chocolate, melted
  • ½ miniature bottle of whisky
  • 100ml/3½oz double cream, whipped
  • 100g/3½oz mascarpone
  • 100g/3½oz crushed amaretti biscuits
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder, for dusting
  • 7 whole amaretti biscuits, to garnish
  1. For the chocolate cream, place all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  2. For the amaretti cream, place all of the ingredients into another bowl and mix well.
  3. Spoon half of the amaretti cream into a tall glass, then place half of the chocolate cream on top. Repeat the layers with the remaining cream.
  4. To serve, dust with cocoa powder and top with the amaretti biscuits.
