Italian-Style Sausage Crostinis Recipe

  • 6 links Aidells Smoked Chicken and Apple Sausages
  • 3/4 cup chopped tomato
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 40 slices sourdough baguette slices, diagonal-cut, toasted
  1. Pan-fry or grill 6 links Aidells Smoked Chicken and Apple Sausages for about 10 minutes until lightly browned.
  2. Meanwhile, in a 2-cup bowl, combine 3/4 cup chopped tomato, 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 1/3 cup olive oil, and 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil.
  3. Cut cooked sausage links into 3/4-inch-thick chunks.
  4. Just before serving, top baguette slices with a spoonful of the tomato mixture and a slice of sausage.
