Hot Cranberry-Rum Toddy Recipe

  • 3 qt cranberry juice cocktail
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 (3 1/2-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole star anise
  • 1 (3-inch) piece gingerroot, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups amber or dark rum
  1. Bring cranberry juice, sugar, spices, and ginger to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved, then simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Stir in rum and serve hot.
