- 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, diced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans, undrained
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
- In a Dutch oven, brown ground beef; drain. Add onion, green pepper and garlic; cook until tender. Stir in all of the beans. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper; add to bean mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased 2-1/2-qt. casserole. Top with bacon. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until heated through.
