Hacked Alfredo Sauce Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 1/2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir in flour until a light paste forms, 1 to 2 minutes. Add garlic; cook and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in parsley.
  2. Whisk milk slowly into the saucepan. Bring sauce to a simmer; cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat and whisk in cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and half-and-half until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.
