Grilled Shrimp and Scallop Kabobs Recipe

  • 1/2 pound fresh or frozen sea scallops, thawed
  • 1/2 pound fresh or frozen, thawed, uncooked shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt (sea salt or Kosher is preferred)
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • Fresh lemon or lime juice (optional)
  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well, coating the shrimp and scallops evenly.
  2. Thread a metal or water-soaked wooden skewer with shrimp and scallops, alternating every other one.
  3. Pre-heat your grill to a medium high heat and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Flip your shrimp and scallop skewers and continue to cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes and remove from the grill. Squeeze a little fresh lemon and/or lime juice on your skewers to top them off.
  5. Enjoy!
