- ½ mango, scored diagonally with skin turned inside out
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp icing sugar
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 150g/5½oz cocoa powder
- 75g/2½oz caster sugar
- 2 tbsp boiling water
- For the mango, preheat the grill to its highest setting.
- Place the mango into an ovenproof saucepan, sprinkle over the chilli and icing sugar and place under the grill until the surface is golden.
- For the sauce, place the sauce ingredients into a heavy- bottomed saucepan over a medium heat, and cook until the sauce thickens.
- To serve, put the mango and the ice cream into a serving bowl and drizzle over the chocolate sauce.
