Fruit Drops II Recipe
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped candied citron
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and spices and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until thick. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Fold in candied citron and walnuts.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 1-1/2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes until lightly colored. Cool on wire racks.
