- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 to 1½ tablespoons sugar, plus more if necessary
- 3 to 5 ounces (½ to ¾ cup) fruit (banana, cantaloupe, mango, persimmon, papaya, strawberry, watermelon or guava), peeled, hulled, seeded and/or cored, as necessary, and cut into small cubes
- Blending: Combine all the ingredients in a blender jar and blend until very smooth.
- Straining: If there are seeds, skins or stringy fibers, strain through a medium-mesh sieve, taste for sweetness and serve in tall glasses.
