- 2 Granny Smith apples – peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1/4 cup toffee baking bits (optional)
- Combine apples, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat; cook, stirring occasionally, until apples begin to soften, about 10 minutes. Add pecans and cook 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
- Scoop ice cream into 4 bowls and top with apple topping. Sprinkle toffee bits over apple topping.
