Classic Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 8 slices 1/2-inch thick, frozen Sara Lee® All Butter Pound Cake, thawed
  • 1/2 cup frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
  • Chocolate curls (optional)
  1. Sprinkle sugar over strawberries.
  2. Place one cake slice on each plate.
  3. Top each slice with 2 tablespoons strawberries, second cake slice, and 2 tablespoons strawberries.
  4. Serve with whipped topping and chocolate curls, if desired.
