Caramel Peanut Brittle Recipe

  • 45 pieces Werther’s Original Hard Candies, unwrapped
  • 10 pieces Werther’s Original Chewy Caramels, unwrapped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Place candies, caramels, butter and water in a heavy bottomed, medium sized saucepan. Over low heat, heat mixture until caramels and candies are completely melted, stirring very often. Add the peanuts and cook 2 minutes more. Stir in the baking soda and vanilla. Immediately spread out thinly onto a cookie sheet to cool. Break into pieces.
