- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 loaves sweet French bread
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- In a small saucepan, melt butter; add olive oil and garlic. Warm over medium heat for 1 minute. Add black pepper and oregano. Cut bread in half lengthwise and brush cut sides with butter mixture. Toast on a grill or under a broiler until golden brown. Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
