Butterbeans Recipe

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 ounce finely chopped lean ham
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen butterbeans or lima beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  1. BRING2 cups water and ham to a boil in a saucepan; boil 5 to 10 minutes. Add butterbeans, salt, and pepper; return to a boil.
  2. COVER, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes or until tender.
