- 1 (15.8 ounce) can BUSH'S® Blackeye Peas with Snaps, undrained
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup thinly sliced ham
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cups hot cooked rice
- Dash cayenne pepper
- Mix peas, onion and bacon dripping in saucepan; bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat 15 minutes.
- Serve pea mixture over hot buttered rice and season with cayenne pepper.
