- oil for deep-frying
- 150g/5Âźoz Wensleydale cheese, cut into triangles
- 100g/3½oz breadcrumbs
- 1 free-range egg, whisked
- Heat the oil ready for deep frying. (CAUTION: Hot oil can be very dangerous. Do not leave unattended.)
- Dip the cheese in the egg and then coat in the breadcrumbs.
- Carefully drop the cheese into the hot oil and deep-fry for 2-3 minutes or until crisp and golden.
- Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
