Boozy Fudge Sauce Recipe

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate (about 70% cacao), chopped
  • 1/4 cup bourbon, whiskey, or rum
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  1. Bring sugar, corn syrup, cocoa powder, and 1 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat and simmer until it begins to thicken, 10 to 12 minutes. Add chocolate, bourbon, and salt and return to a simmer, whisking. Cook, whisking, until sauce is thick and glossy, about 5 minutes.
