Big Rays Spicy Drunken Shrimp Recipe

  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle IPA beer
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1 bay leaf, or more to taste
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, or to taste
  1. Combine beer, green onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, and bay leaf in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce is reduced by half, 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Stir shrimp into the sauce; cook until pink, 3 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish shrimp with parsley.
