Baked Asparagus Casserole Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons diced celery
  • 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 2 slices tomato
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Coat a baking dish with melted butter and arrange asparagus in a single layer. Sprinkle onion, celery, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme over asparagus; top with tomato slices.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until asparagus is tender and top is golden brown, about 45 minutes.
