Asian Slaw Recipe

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 head napa or savoy cabbage, shredded
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and julienned
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  1. In a large bowl, combine the vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, and oil. Add the cabbage, scallions, carrots, pepper, and cilantro. Toss to coat well. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds, if using. Let stand for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
