- 1 tablespoon Safeway SELECT Verdi Olive Oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (26 ounce) jar Safeway SELECT Verdi Marinara Pasta Sauce
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 3/4 cup dry red wine
- 1 dried bay leaf
- 3/4 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cooked Dungeness crabs, cleaned and cracked
- 16 clams in shells, suitable for steaming, scrubbed
- 1 pound halibut, cut into 1/2- by 2-inch strips
- 16 fresh or frozen raw shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 16 mussels in shells, scrubbed and beards pulled off
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges
- In a 6- to 8-quart pan, mix oil, onion, and garlic; stir over high heat until tinged brown, about 8 minutes. Add 1 cup water, marinara sauce, tomatoes and their juices, wine, bay leaf, tarragon, and pepper. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to a simmer.
- Add crabs; return to simmer. Lay clams on top. Cover; cook 5 minutes over medium-high heat. Push halibut into sauce; lay shrimp and mussels on top. Cover; cook until clams and mussels open and shrimp and halibut are just opaque in thickest part, about 10 minutes. Transfer seafood to bowls as done; continue cooking remainder. Discard unopened clams and mussels. Ladle sauce over seafood in bowls. Garnish with parsley and lemon.
